Arrangements...

Hey!  Just letting you know I'm currently in the process of rearranging my room--AGAIN!  (I think I inherited my rearranging genes from my mother.)  :)  It seems as though I can't go more than a couple months without getting bored of the arrangement I have at the time.  But just wait 'til you see this one...we're going big time!  It even requires the help of my neighbor girls and a hammer!  Well, off to work I go.

Beyond Juice!

At last...new pictures!  Well, due to my sporadic moments of non-brilliance, I forgot to bring my camera to college group at church.  Sorry.  However I did remember to bring it to work!  You are going to get a sneak peak at Beyond Juice like none other.  So, take a deep breath and try to keep yourself from going into utter chaos at the sight of these pics.  I know, it could be difficult.  Here we go.

When you walk into the store you see something like this!  Here is beautiful Ashley at the front counter with the menu, etc. behind her.  People are often times overwhelmed by the all the choices they have to make.  We're pretty good at helping them make decisions though.  :)

These are our friends-VitaMix and "The Beast".  The VitaMixers make all of our mouth-watering smoothies.  "The Beast" has his name for a good reason, however, he does do good work;  Beasty Boy juices apples, carrots, celery, parsley, just about anything, into delicious juices.  SO good!  (Oh, and he's called "The Beast"  because he takes quite a bit of work to clean....he's on the more difficult side to take a part and weighs a half ton.)Here is an example of something delicous "The Beast" can create...apple/carrot juice.  Although it may not sound that good to you, it is simply wonderful.  The stuff he lets out the back end :)  looks a little crazy, but the juice is great.  (These are the organic juices we offer.)Here is Mr. MegaGreen.  MegaGreen strictly juices wheatgrass.  He's not quite as tricky to clean.  As you may not know, I've become a drinker of shots.  I just LOVE shots!  In fact, I had two shots last week.  (wheat grass and noni juice that is...ha!)  Customers order wheatgrass in 'shots' and we just get a kick out of sometimes when someone, for example, orders "four shots of wheatgrass, please."  :)Here is our smoothie cooler!  It holds some of the most delicous fruits that go into our smoothies....banana, mango, peaches, pineapples, blueberries, blackberries, cranberries, strawberries, raspberries....yeah, good stuff.And this is the sandwich cooler.  It contains muenster cheese, cheddar cheese, tomato, cucumber, pickles, lettuce, cranberry sauce (for turkey cranberry sandwiches), tuna, egg salad, turkey, chicken, sprouts, peppers (green & red roasted), onion, avocado, golden raisins, sunflower seeds...more good stuff.  :)

Here are 3 of my favorite sandwich ingredients...avocado, sprouts, and roasted red pepper.  They add flavor that is just so delicious--try it!  I even included a picture of my favorite sandwich.  It has avocado, tomato, cucumber, muenster cheese, sprouts, roasted red pepper and is on multi-grain bread--irresistible!Well, today when I walked into work this is what I saw!  Ha!  Amy doesn't normally stretch like this at work, but she really needed to stretch, or something.  :)  Amy, the one on the left, is my boss, and Ashley, the one holding her leg, is a girl I work with about 4 days a week!  We all see each other quite a bit and enjoy each other's company.  It is a huge blessing to work for Amy and to enjoy work!  I work with two other ladies as well...another Ashley, who happens to be Amy's daughter!, and Tammy, who does all of the baking for us.  They're a fun crew.  Below is me, Ashley, and Amy...trying to take a decent picture.  :)  I hope you enjoyed the pictures, because that's it!  (You probably actually saw more than you wanted to!)  Well that should hold you over for another month.  Just kidding.  Blessings to you all.

So...

As you have noticed, I have been slacking in the blog department.  My apologies.  BUT! Get excited because new picture are comin' to town!  That's right folks, within the next week you will see top news stories that cover the world and life of Greta Espe.  A little fore-warning, my life is not that exciting.  It consists of a lot of school work/studying and work work, as in Beyond Juice.  I know that many have been waiting to see pictures of those areas of my life, though, so, your wish is my command.  I also plan on taking some pics. of my NEW college group at church.  (I'm so excited about it and LOVE being there....I'll tell you more later.)  Maybe one day when I have a boyfriend/husband my life will be more exciting.  :)  Just kidding.  "This is the day the Lord has made;  let us rejoice and be glad in it!" (Psalm 118:24)  That's enough for now.  Picture taking is one of my new missions in life.  Thanks for showing your interest, care, concern, love.  Much appreciated.  Much love.

Cookie Break

I was fortunate enough to get to bake with Madison one day this week!  We had a good time making a TRIPLE batch of chocolate chip cookies.  While some cookies were baking we snapped a picture on my computer.  With us is Jennika, my little neighbor girl, who happened to be over for piano lessons.  She is also a friend of Madison's.  They're pretty sweet girls.

Care-Free and Friendly Days (Part 2)

Here is the second part, our insideness (I made that word up).  Sorry, I kind of was lazy in my picture taking most of the time and therefore only documented one inside game...Catch Phrase! It was pretty fun.  Please keep in mind when looking at the pictures that this game took place after sledding for approximately 2 hours.  We were enervated (that means tired).  I am most certain that everyone has experienced overly tiredness and the humor that comes with it.  Alright, now go ahead and enjoy.
Kady had had quite the day with travels from Virginia to Duluth to Bluewater...time for bed.
Carolyn is the funniest person in this game.  She gets VERY excited and involved.  It's good to have her on your team.

Care-Free and Friendly Days (Part 1)

My "Christmas Vacation" has been quite pleasant, I must say.  I don't have classes until the 22nd of January...crazy, I know.  I am enjoying every bit of it though.  Obviously the first week consisted of Christmas gatherings with family.  Great time.  After Christmas it has been pretty "care-free" and filled with "friendly" visits, etc.  Also great.  The following documents my New Year's activities.  

Over New Year's I was at Bluewater!  (One of my favorite places...along with anyone else who's ever been there.)  The staff from this past summer had a little reunion from Sunday to Tuesday.  We had a good time sledding, playing card/board games, blind man's bluff, and broom ball, and just catching up.    

Camp looked beautiful with its healthy dose of snow.  Quite different from summertime!  We took great advantage of this with all our outdoor activities.

The first night we went sledding on one of the neighbor's long, steep driveways.  Above:  me, Seth-ready for some solid sleddin'....and waitin' for miss pokey, below, Leah.This is the large section Chad cleared for us to play broomball.  We actually played late at night, so we brought out a big light.  It was quite an intense game.  Ultra fun.

Jingle Bells

To my faithful readers: thanks for your patience! After about an hour and a half of picture uploading, I have a new post for you! There were a couple more pics I wanted to put on, but they didn't want to come, so, another time. As you will notice, these are all pics. taken from the Christmas weekend/week of events.

It was such a delight to be able to see some fellow Bluewater staffers at Aaron and Mitch's Christmas concert. Amy, Pam, and Carolyn were all able to make it! We tightly squeezed into the very back row in a couple of wooden benches...it was a pretty hilarious sight.
Christmas Eve morning mom and dad made us a Christmas brunch. We had blueberry pancakes, egg bake, and delicious pineapple juice! So good. You can see us enjoying it below.

Christmas Eve night we got together with the Larson side at my aunt Gwen and uncle DeWayne's house in Park River, North Dakota. It was good to see ALL my Larson cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Here are my grandparents: Neil and Doris. My grandpa is 86 and still farms sugar beets and potatoes. My grandma, 83, has had heart surgery but still does as much as she can. They are some of the hardest workin' people I know...great examples.

We are quite a large group when altogether! There are 11 grandchildren and 12 parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles. As always, there was plenty of food and treats.

Christmas day my sisters, Erica and Ingrid, parents, and I went out to our cabin. We had a grand time having some old fashioned board game fun along with roasting brats over the outside campfire. Because the drive way was so snowy, dad gave us a ride in the back of his truck so the van wouldn't get stuck. (that's where this pic. is taken...back of the pick-up. i was sitting in front of a nice deer hide, mmm.)
